Green chemistry is at the core of our work towards sustainable medicines manufacturing. We are looking for a hands-on, data-driven chemistry intern to join our team and contribute to our green chemistry research - exploring how cleaner, safer solvents and more efficient processes can replace traditional approaches without compromising performance. You will work in our wet lab to generate experimental data, then compile your findings into a clear technical report. This is an opportunity to build your laboratory skills while gaining experience at the interface of chemistry, sustainability, and software - leading directly to real-world impact. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to lab automation work depending on your interests and the team's priorities.
We are looking for a motivated intern to support a comparative Life Cycle Assessment evaluating the environmental impact of chemical manufacturing processes optimized using ZeroShotAPI compared to conventional approaches. ZeroShotAPI is an Innovate UK-funded project to develop machine learning models, trained on large-scale reaction datasets generated in our laboratory, to predict optimal starting conditions for key chemical transformations. So far, we have generated the data and models and are looking to quantify the sustainability benefits of our technology and to identify the key metrics to track for ongoing impact reporting, while validating and implementing the technology. Your analysis will shape how we communicate about environmental impact.
