No More Manual Wiring: Unlock Plug-and-Play Self-Driving Labs with ReactWise x Vapourtec

Modern labs are packed with great hardware, yet too much time is still spent wiring software to instruments, juggling file formats, and manually monitoring runs. ReactWise and Vapourtec are collaborating, aiming to remove that friction. Together, we delivered a simple, reliable way to run closed-loop experiments end-to-end - so you can focus on the chemistry.

With ReactWise, you define your parameters, objectives, and constraints. The platform sends instructions via API calls directly to the Vapourtec OPC interface - reactor residence times, reactor temperatures, and reagent equivalents - so the flow reactor executes precisely what the optimizer proposes. During the run, in-line PAT, such as IR or Raman, measures reaction performance on the fly. Spectral data is processed by the Vapourtec system and the results are passed to ReactWise, where user-defined calibration data can be applied (see calibration function, Fig. 1) to convert spectral information into concentrations, and then into yields and impurity profiles. Those cleaned results feed the optimizer, the models retrain in the background, and the next set of experiments is generated automatically.

Plan, execute, measure, learn, repeat - without human intervention during the run.

The value is straightforward. You don’t need custom scripts or one-off drivers to connect optimization with hardware. Throughput increases because the system runs continuously and adapts in real time. Rigor improves thanks to automated execution, transparent calibration, and consistent data handling. Most importantly, your team gets time back to interpret results, make decisions, and design the next campaign.

Want to see it live? Book a short demo and tell us your chemistry, PAT preference, and targets. We’ll show you how quickly you can go from objective to optimized process.
